Learn how to find just the right designer pet bed

A designer pet bed can be exactly the same thing as a luxury pet bed, but not always. Let’s take a look at some things that will help us understand better.

First, a designer bed will often be personalized. This kind of bed might be a one-of-a-kind, made specifically for your pet. Your pet’s name might be on the bed, or perhaps it will simply be crafted for a certain breed of dog. No matter how you look at it, the main ingredient is that the bed is unique in some way.

Next, designer pet beds are often made by premium manufacturers. Such a bed is usually going to be upscale, but not always. There are top quality companies cranking out low and medium cost designer products. Price isn’t everything.

Another characteristic is that these pet products are sometimes associated with rock stars, movie stars, models, or other celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Pamela Anderson. Be warned that some people use their reputation to sell goods and services but they literally have nothing to do with what they are promoting. We consider this to be the dark side of designer products. Be cautious!

Some designer products are low quality, but most are luxurious and wonderful. In general, specialized pet products are highly durable and have excellent quality. Further, these types of pet items are generally focused on something visual, such as a brand name, logo, or tag (e.g., Kuranda dog beds and Chewy Vuitton).

This approach allows the pet products and beds to be made using the same manufacturing processes from month to month. No retooling! It also allows manufacturers to easily update their goods to follow certain trends or fads.

Designer beds usually offer some specialized designs as we’ve already talked about. In addition, it is often the case that the beds and blankets are created out of hard-to-find or premium materials. If you really dig, you’ll find beds made from leather, Vermont maple, American cherry, bamboo and even memory foam! It is possible, yes, to find an orthopedic memory foam dog bed. This is a key reason why luxury pet beds and designer pet beds are one-and-the-same.

Interestingly, heated beds are generally very plain. Some do have reversable covers but overall the designs are very practical. The point is that heated pet beds are typically not considered designer beds.

Keep in mind that it is also possible to search and find a designer cat bed, personalized pet blanket, and other types of designer dog stuff. Furthermore, you can make your bed very special by putting your pet’s name on it. You can also create a truly unique bed by adding your pet’s photograph. Customization is getting easier every day.

To summarize, there are many things to consider when you are looking for a designer pet bed, including how your pet likes to sleep, colors, materials, and much more. Probably the biggest considerations are personalization and customization. It is getting easier and easier to find what you want for your dog or cat. Have fun with it!
